Hello!
I have been engaged in graphic design for almost 20 years and I have a lot of experience in restoring images for printing that have been preserved in old photographs, slides or in the form of bad quality scans. Often in museums and castles, I looked at ancient folios hand-painted, with beautiful watercolor works of plants and animals, and dreamed that it would be possible to scrupulously scan and restore these beautiful images, return them the original colors, remove the stains and scratches that interfere with sight. After all, the artist who created these paintings one hundred and more years ago, probably dreamed about the safety of his work, he chose quality paints and paper and invested his soul even in such encyclopedic drawings as images of plants, birds, and animals.
It is wonderful that the technology is developing and at the present time it allows to preserve museum relics digitally and to show the viewer their present state. For my part, I started to restore digital images, return the original brightness and saturation, careful retouching so that you can enjoy the beautiful drawings of old masters!
Sincerely,
Ludmila Lubomirova
